Admin Insider: What’s new in Chrome Enterprise release 100

Hi Rupert, We're excited to celebrate a major milestone with you as we roll out Chrome's 100th release! New features have been added to Chrome browser, Chrome OS and the Google Admin console that can benefit you and your organization's end users. Chrome browser Chrome supports logging in with your phone using QR codes Chrome 100 allows users to use any Android phone as a security key by scanning a QR code. Previously only phones that were syncing to the same Google account as the desktop could be used. Bluetooth is still required to show proximity. Chrome Actions on Android helps your end users stay productive Chrome Actions help users get things done fast, directly from the address bar. We first released Chrome Actions on desktop a couple years ago, with actions like clearing browsing data. Now, we're bringing some of these features to Chrome on Android. Manage your passwords, open incognito tabs, clear browsing data and more. Chrome OS Enhanced accessibility for you and your end users with Dictation Text Editing Dictation lets you use your voice to dictate text anywhere you would normally type on your chromebook. Now you can also edit text with your voice using commands like "delete", "undo", or "select all". This feature is particularly useful for those who have motor impairments or anyone who prefers to use their voice to type. Learn more Chrome OS accessibility features here. Early access to a new version of Chrome OS Flex on PCs and Macs Chrome OS Flex is the cloud-first, fast, easy-to manage, and secure operating system for PCs and Macs. Chrome OS Flex is now on the beta channel and since launch 100+ more devices have been verified to work with Chrome OS Flex. Try it out and share your feedback to help us shape this product. Customize the appearance of managed websites This feature allows IT to customize the icon of the URLs that they force install in User and Managed Guest Sessions. The name that is presented to end-users can also be defined. Learn more here. Admin Console Chrome Browser Cloud Management supports Chrome on Android With today's hybrid work environments, employees are using many different device types to get their jobs done. IT teams need to be able to manage Chrome across many different operating systems and devices. We're excited to announce that Chrome Browser Cloud Management has added support for enrolling Chrome-on-Android. IT teams can also get reporting information on policies that have been enabled, the OS version, model name, and other important data. Remotely connect to any device from the Google Admin console IT teams can now establish a remote Chrome Remote Desktop (CRD) connection using a remote command under "Device Details" for any device with an affiliated user or managed guest session.
