Dear Friends,
This year we helped 20,000+ Israeli children and teens to learn, grow, and simply spend time together. Whether learning conflict resolution skills in the forest, sailing a raft across the Galilee, or choosing to step us as local role models, Dror Israel's associated youth movement gave kids across the country a summer to remember.
While the challenges facing Israeli society have not disappeared, moments like these remind us that recovery is measured by stronger communities and young people who are prepared to help lead them forward.
From helping young people develop the skills to become community leaders, creating spaces where friendships and resilience can flourish, or equipping the next generation with the tools to address the challenges facing Israeli society, our work continues to strengthen the social fabric that will shape Israel's future. Building a Different Reality: Young Arab Leaders Train to Resolve Conflict |
|
Amid growing trends of crime and violence Arab society in Israel, 800 Arab teenagers from communities across the country recently gathered at NOAL's Teen Leadership Institute. They came not only to become youth counselors, but to learn practical tools for conflict resolution, dialogue, and community leadership. Rooted in the traditional practice of Sulha, this new pilot program equips young leaders with the skills to help resolve everyday conflicts before they escalate. As one community leader put it, "The fight against crime begins long before the crime itself happens." These young leaders are choosing to fight back against violence and helping to build a different future for their communities.

“Camp Gives Kids a Place to be Free” |

For many Israeli children, summer camp is more than just a few days outdoors, it's a chance to laugh, make memories, and simply be kids again.
After years of war and disruption, NOAL's summer camps provide something every child deserves: friendship, adventure, and a caring community. They're also where teen leaders put months of training into practice, growing into the next generation of educators who will guide and inspire younger children throughout the year.

More Than Rafting: Teens Learn Leadership by Living It |
|
Every summer, more than 1,300 Jewish, Arab, and Druze teens in Dror Israel's associated youth movement spend three days building their own rafts before sailing across the Sea of Galilee.
But this beloved tradition is about much more than crossing the water. It's about learning to take responsibility, trust one another, solve problems together, and discover what it means to lead. This year, each raft also carried a message against violence, honoring young lives lost and affirming the kind of society these future leaders want to build.
